SightLogix Announces CEO Succession

Co-founder and Chairman of the Board James Hahn has assumed the role of CEO for SightLogix. Mr. Hahn replaces John Romanowich, who resigned his role as president and CEO in November 2023 for personal reasons.

Mr. Hahn takes the helm of this well-established provider of critical infrastructure security at a pivotal moment of growth and innovation. The company is now shipping its ground-breaking, simple to use, thermal AI classification software that virtually eliminates outdoor nuisance alarms, which until now has been a long-standing impediment for using video effectively in the large and growing Remote Video Monitoring market.

SightLogix users gain an immediate competitive advantage because the new AI functionality is backward compatible with all SightLogix cameras sold within the last five years, and is being offered as a simple no-charge firmware update.

“Right now marks a pivotal moment in the security industry, particularly in the realm of Remote Video Monitoring, where innovations in edge-based thermal AI technologies are revolutionizing how organizations deliver security,” said Mr. Hahn. “SightLogix is at the forefront of this transformation, providing breakthrough solutions that are not only enhancing security performance but also fueling the rapid expansion of outdoor security services.”

Earlier in 2023, the company introduced SightTracker PTZ with edge AI that automatically zooms and follows outdoor intruders with fast, on-target responsiveness, delivering powerful, automated awareness that revolutionizes the auto-tracking PTZ market.

Mr. Hahn assumes the role of CEO after having been active in the company’s strategic pursuits since the company’s founding, serving as Chairman of Board for close to twenty years. Mr. Hahn was instrumental in founding four start-up companies, including Infotron Systems, where he served as President and CEO, leading it and worldwide growth consisting of five international divisions and ultimately to an IPO.
