Thermal Camera with Video Analytics
The SightLogix® Thermal SightSensor is a thermal camera with video analytics specifically designed for accurate perimeter security, day and night, in zero light and all weather and geographies.
The Thermal SightSensor leverages powerful on-board video processing for high Probability of Detect (PD) and low Nuisance Alarm Rates (NAR), while producing the clearest thermal camera images and most accurate video analytics at mainstream prices.
The Thermal SightSensor consists of a thermal imager, complete with lens optics, electronic stabilization, image contrast enhancement, video analytics software, camera control, and geospatial target tracking within a ruggedized, NEMA 4X nitrogen-purged housing. Hands-free PTZ tracking is provided by the SightTracker.
Extended Range Drives Greater Savings
With their higher level of imaging processing, each SightSensor long range thermal camera can cover wider areas or greater distances, as much as three times the coverage area of other surveillance cameras. This means that SightLogix systems require fewer thermal cameras, reducing the supporting infrastructure (poles, trenching, networking, power, etc.) and associated costs. As a result, SightSensor cameras lower installation, infrastructure and overall project costs by one-third versus alternatives.
Thermal SightSensor Feature |
Benefit |
| Multiple digital signal processors (DSP) integrated with the camera imager | Analyzes all detail of every video frame for increased accuracy and extended range |
| Precision video analytics determine object location, size, and velocity accurately | Accurately filters objects based on size, velocity and location |
| Contrast Image Enhancement Technology | See crisp, clear thermal image detail, 24 hours/day, all seasons |
| Image processing for 3D Image Stabilization (translation, rotation and zoom) | Eliminates video shake induced by wind and machinery (trains, airplanes, construction equipment) to minimize nuisance alarms |
| Image processing for accurate detection of small objects in a background of environmental movement (leaves, reflections, wind-blown objects) | High probability of detect with low nuisance alerts |
| Long Wavelength Infrared (LWIR) Uncooled Microbolometer | Detects intrusions in zero light or difficult lighting environments, such as unlit areas near roads and over water in bright sunlight |
| Detects objects that violate a site’s alarm policies. Specifies the GPS position for up to 64 simultaneous targets. | Accurate intrusion detection over large outdoor areas |
| Accurately detects inbound vehicle-sized objects up to 1500 meters (4920 feet) and pedestrian-sized objects at distances up to 620 meters (2035 feet); requires no more than sixteen (16) scene pixels for object detection | Lowest cost/foot of any perimeter security alternative |
| QuickConfig calibration for non-enterprise and stand-alone applications (option) | Enter camera height for easy-to-use, auto calibration process |
| Real-time target display onto geo-positioned topology map (Enterprise Mode) | Provides situational awareness of targets |
| 10/100 Ethernet with support for satellite, cellular, and full broadband communications; AES 256 bit encryption and SSL protocol | Flexible and secure communications |
| Seamless integration with third-party Video Management, Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) and Access Control Systems. | Open-system design supports leading industry systems. Refer to SightLogix Third Party Compatibility List for details. |
| Dry-nitrogen pressurized enclosure (NEMA-4X); rugged, multi-contact sealed Mil-C electrical connector | Built to withstand outdoor elements (rain, snow, humidity, sand, temperature extremes) for extended life |
