A fundamental advantage of the SightLogix architecture is the tight integration of sophisticated camera electronics with the camera optics. SightLogix takes advantage of the higher (100X or more) image definition and total dynamic range, which is available only by processing video inside the camera using a multi-DSP architecture.
SightSensors include several unique image enhancement innovations including 3-D sub-pixel image stabilization, noise reduction, lighting invariant correction, histogram equalization, non-salient motion, and multiple clutter rejection filters.
All these enhancements are performed on pre-compressed video and sent digitally over wired or wireless systems to guarantee the highest possible image and data quality.
Other discriminating target information such as size, speed, direction, and GPS location is also available inside the camera and can be used to establish further criteria for analysis and display.
